Manor Drive Entrance prior to Works.
For many years this entrance has been a canvas for grafitti artists to practice their spelling and a quite perfectly secluded spot for vandals to commit their acts of wanton destruction. Set back a little off Manor Drive and shaded by trees it should always have been a beautiful and attractive access point to the park. Too many times to count, the fencing on either side of the entrance has had to be repaired or completely replaced. Hopefully, this time the replacement will last for a decade and more.

Footpaths prior to Works.
For several years the City Council have been telling us constantly, and apologetically, that there is very little money available to spend on improvements and that a structure of prioritization is being observed. That parks and open spaces would not be considered kindly within this structure was fairly obvious, and of course expected. Expectation may dull disappoinment but it nevertheless remains a disappointment.
